Yealand Conyers lies west of the A6 some two miles north of Junction 35 on the M6. The Old School is at the top of the hill in the village, next to the Quaker Meeting House. Yealand is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is in a limestone area, well wooded and rich in wild life.
The RSPB bird reserve at Leighton Moss, well known for its bitterns, is within walking distance, where special visits and interesting group activities can be arranged.
